MHFA Public Safety – September 20, 2017

This program is provided FREE in partnership with the ADAMH Board of Franklin County and Mental Health America of Franklin County

Public Safety Course

The course on September 20, 2017 includes a Law Enforcement, Corrections, and Public Safety module, which builds upon the effectiveness of the standard Mental Health First Aid curriculum by focusing on the unique experiences and needs of law enforcement, corrections and public safety audiences. This supplement to the 8-hour curriculum designed for police officers, first responders, corrections officers and other public safety professionals, will help them better understand mental illnesses and addictions and provide them with effective response options to deescalate incidents without compromising safety.
