NEW GUIDELINES: The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services’ Scholarship & Technical Assistance (TA) funds are a component of the Consumer and Family Partnership Team (CFPT). The overarching goal of the Scholarship & Technical Assistance funds are to assist individuals and groups in developing leadership and advocacy skills to effectively participate in statewide planning and development of mental health policies and services.

Mental Health America of Franklin County administers scholarship funds allocated by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

  • Scholarship funds are awarded for mileage and stipend reimbursements to consumers and/or family members that participate in workgroups and/or committees in accordance with CFPT guidelines to enhance their leadership skills and knowledge of mental health issues.
  • The goal of these funds is to assist individuals and groups to develop the leadership and advocacy skills needed to effectively participate in the planning and development of mental health policies and services.
  • We provide Scholarships to clients and family members, both individuals and groups/organizations.
  • Potential recipients must complete an application process and meet the eligibility criteria.
  • The applicant must indicate efforts to obtain scholarship/funding PRIOR to submitting an application to ODMHAS.

Grants from the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services

If you live in Ohio and are a mental health client or family member, you may be eligible for a Technical Assistance (TA) grant. Mental Health America of Franklin County administers the technical assistance funds allocated by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
