Get Connected

Mental Health America of Franklin County (MHAFC) has implemented a program targeting consumers with severe and persistent mental illness called Get Connected. The program helps raise awareness of living a healthier lifestyle. The goal of the project is to educate consumers about improving their overall health by having them select one health goal as a result of attending ten weekly “learning modules.”

The module topics include:

1. Introducing Get Connected
2. Let’s Get Motivated!
3. Nutrition & Weight Management
4. Accessing Medical Care
5. Exercise & Active Lifestyle
6. Peace, Serenity & Stress Management
7. Quality Sleep
8. Diabetes Prevention & Management
9. Cancer & Heart Disease
10. Celebrate!

There are groups meeting concurrently at COVA, Pathway and Partners in Active Living.

We are seeking additional locations in Franklin County to host this program. There is no cost for the organization that hosts the program. For further information, please contact Karen Berry, 614.221.1441 or kberry@mhafc.org.
